Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms govern the use of the Fluvia mobile app and of fluvia.chat. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Fluvia.
Who operates Fluvia
Fluvia is operated by Rommel Valdiviezo, an individual (not a registered company), based in Ecuador. Contact: soporte@fluvia.chat.
What Fluvia is
Fluvia is an English practice app: AI-assisted conversation, vocabulary exercises, listening comprehension, writing, and related content, generated and graded with the help of artificial intelligence models. It is a practice tool, not a certified course nor a substitute for formal education — the feedback you receive is generated by AI and may contain errors.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs on your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. The details of what happens to your data when you do are in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You must not use Fluvia to:
- Attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the service or attempt to breach it.
- Use the service to generate, store, or share content that is illegal, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of third parties.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free usage limits or other restrictions of the service.
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
Your content
The content you generate by using Fluvia (your conversations, practice texts, saved vocabulary, etc.) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store it, process it (including through third-party AI providers), and display it back to you, solely for the purpose of operating the service for you. We do not use your content to train our own AI models, nor do we sell it to third parties.
Fluvia's ownership
The Fluvia brand, the app's design, and the code that makes it work are the property of the operator of the service. These terms do not grant you any rights over them beyond normal use of the app as a user.
Free plan and Fluvia Premium
Fluvia has a free plan and a paid subscription, Fluvia Premium. The free plan includes a limited number of spoken conversations; listening, writing, vocabulary and expressions stay free. Premium removes the conversation limit.
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription of 1 month, 3 months or 12 months, and the price is shown before you confirm. It renews for the same length and price until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period already paid. Deleting your Fluvia account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it first.
In the iPhone app, Premium is bought through Apple and charged to your Apple ID; where a free trial is shown, it converts to the paid plan unless you cancel before it ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the period ends.
On the website, Premium is sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record: it processes the payment, charges any sales tax that applies and sends your receipt. Cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email. Refunds follow our refund policy.
The service 'as is'
Fluvia is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties that it will be error-free or available without interruption. AI-generated feedback and content may contain inaccuracies — you should not treat them as professional advice or as a language level certification.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator of Fluvia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the date at the top when we do, and we will make a reasonable effort to notify you inside the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use Fluvia after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador.
Language of this document
This English version is a translation provided for convenience. These terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador, and the Spanish version is the authoritative one — if the two ever differ, the Spanish text prevails.
