Deleting Your Account or Data
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This page covers two separate things: deleting your entire Fluvia account, and asking us to delete specific data without closing your account. For the full picture of what we store and why, see the privacy policy.
Deleting your entire account
Steps. In the Fluvia app, go to Profile → Terms & Policies → Delete accountand confirm. If you only use fluvia.chat in a browser and can't reach the app, email soporte@fluvia.chatfrom the address on your account and we'll do it for you.
What happens immediately.Your account is marked as deleted and you're signed out. You can no longer sign in, and the account stops being usable from that moment.
What gets deleted, and when. Thirty days later, an automated job permanently erases everything the account owns: your conversation sessions and their transcripts, listening tests, decode and compare exercises, writing pieces and their feedback, saved vocabulary, phrasal verbs and idioms, your notes, goals, skill and progress data, assessments, and your usage and entitlement records. At the same time your email address, name, password, and Google identifier are erased from our database.
The thirty-day gap is deliberate: sign-in sessions last thirty days, so this guarantees no logged-in device anywhere can still be holding a live session when the data goes.
What is retained, and why.One empty record remains permanently: an internal identifier, the deletion timestamps, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your former email address. It cannot be reversed to recover your email, and it holds none of your content — it exists only so the same address can't be used to abuse free-tier limits by repeatedly deleting and recreating accounts. Nothing else about you is kept.
Beyond that, deleted data may briefly persist in our hosting provider's routine encrypted database backups until those rotate out on their normal schedule. We don't restore deleted accounts from them.
Deleting specific data without closing your account
Steps. Email soporte@fluvia.chatfrom the address associated with your account (or tell us which account you mean), describing what you'd like removed — for example a single conversation session, all of your writing pieces, or your entire practice history while keeping your login and progress settings.
What gets deleted, and what stays. We delete exactly what you ask for. Anything you don't name — including your account itself, your sign-in credentials, and any other content — is left untouched and continues to be handled as described in the privacy policy.
We handle these requests by hand and aim to complete them within 30 daysof receiving them. We'll confirm by email once it's done.
